Terms of Service.

Last updated: 23 May 2026

These terms describe what Setpiece offers, what you can and cannot do with it, who owns what, and the limits of what we promise. By using Setpiece you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What Setpiece is

Setpiece is a website at getsetpiece.com that uses AI image generation to render photos of rooms in different visual aesthetics. You upload a photo of a desk setup or an empty room, choose a style and a mode (Restyle or Plan), and Setpiece generates a new image showing your room in that aesthetic.

Setpiece is currently free to use, with daily render limits. We may introduce paid tiers in the future, with separate terms describing what those tiers include.

Your account

You can use Setpiece without signing in, with a one-time render limit per browser. To render more, you sign in by entering your email address and the six-digit code we send to you. By signing in, you confirm that the email address you provided is your own.

You are responsible for the activity on your account. If you suspect someone has signed in with your email without your consent, email support@getsetpiece.com and we will revoke the session.

You can use only one account. Creating multiple accounts to bypass the daily render limit is a violation of these terms and we may suspend accounts we believe are doing this.

What you may upload

You may upload photos that:

  • You own, or have permission to use
  • Show interior spaces (desks, rooms, workspaces)
  • Do not contain identifiable people without their consent

You may not upload photos that:

  • Depict illegal activity
  • Depict minors in any context that could be sexualized
  • Contain copyrighted material that you do not have the right to use
  • Are intended to test, abuse, or circumvent the service
  • Contain personally identifying information (faces, ID documents, documents with names or addresses, etc.) that you did not intend to share

We may refuse to process, or remove, any uploaded photo that we believe violates these terms. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

What Setpiece may do with your uploads

By uploading a photo, you grant Setpiece a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Send the photo to our AI providers (fal.ai) for processing
  • Store the photo in our database
  • Display the resulting render in your account gallery
  • Display the resulting render on the public feed, if you have not marked it as private
  • Use the resulting render (in anonymized form, with no link to your identity) to improve Setpiece's prompt library and aesthetic curation

You retain ownership of your original photo. The license you grant us applies only to the operation and improvement of Setpiece.

Who owns the rendered output

The rendered image that Setpiece generates from your photo is yours to use, with the following caveats:

  • The render is generated by an AI model and may contain visual artifacts, inaccuracies, or unintended elements. We make no warranty about its accuracy or fitness for any purpose.
  • AI-generated images sit in a legally evolving area regarding copyright. We do not claim copyright over your renders. We also cannot guarantee that you can claim copyright over them, depending on the jurisdiction and the specific render.
  • Renders include a small Setpiece watermark in the corner of the image. Removing the watermark from a render generated under the free tier is a violation of these terms.

You may share renders on social media, on your own website, in portfolios, and in other personal contexts. For commercial use (selling prints, using in client work, using in published advertising), please email hello@getsetpiece.com and we will discuss licensing.

The public feed

By default, renders are visible on the public feed at /feed. You can opt any individual render out of the public feed at the moment it is generated.

If you upvote, comment on, or otherwise interact with the public feed, those interactions may be visible to other users. We may remove any public-feed content that violates these terms or that we believe is inappropriate.

You are responsible for what you choose to make public. If you upload something private by mistake and want it removed from the feed, email support@getsetpiece.com and we will remove it promptly.

What we do not promise

Setpiece is provided “as is.” We do not promise:

  • That the service will be available without interruption
  • That any specific render will meet your expectations
  • That the AI will preserve every detail of your original photo accurately (Setpiece works hard at preservation but the underlying model is not perfect)
  • That the service will be free forever (we may introduce paid tiers or change the free-tier limits)
  • That data will never be lost (we keep backups but cannot guarantee zero loss)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of Setpiece is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months — which, on the free tier, is zero.

Termination

You can stop using Setpiece at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email privacy@getsetpiece.com.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or attempt to circumvent the render limits. We will give notice where reasonable, but in cases of serious abuse we may act without prior warning.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for signed-in users, send an email notice. Continued use of Setpiece after a material change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Any dispute arising from your use of Setpiece will be handled in good faith first by direct discussion (email hello@getsetpiece.com), and if not resolved that way, by the courts of the Australian Capital Territory.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws (e.g. Australian Consumer Law, UK Consumer Rights Act, EU consumer protection directives), those laws apply alongside these terms and prevail where they conflict.
